After moving to a completely new city or country, it is only natural that a person begins to identify with his or her new surroundings and learns to take pride in the local customs and events.

Most commonly, this pride is expressed by supporting the local sports clubs or soccer teams. (more…)

Where I come from, a girl can get away with simply talking about the need run more regularly for quite some time. No one expects you to get to the doing stage, until at least Spring.

So, the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver have come and gone.

As a fan of sports in general, the Olympic Games are always an exciting time for me, but they are also a time filled with ambivalence and mixed-emotions, as they are, I am sure, for many ex-pats. (more…)
